For those of you who know me from my way back years, Big Lake Youth Camp was a huge part of my life, from attending as a camper, to working there for seven consecutive summers. It wasn’t always easy (as staff), but I always had fun and I can honestly say that this youth camp contributed a large part to molding me into what you get today. I’m rather partial to the Sailing class, having been the instructor for 3 years, but any of their offerings are sure not to disappoint.
Adding to their long standing Big Lake’s BJ Christensen Memorial Golf Benefit, coming up in just a couple weeks is the first annual BLYC Spring Fling. Here are the details:
What: Big Lake Youth Camp is excited to invite you to our 1st annual Big Lake Spring Fling! This 20-hole, par 3, 5-person-team disc golf tournament will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Come check out the fun, festivities, and the newly designed disc golf course! The tournament will feature an award ceremony complete with individual prizes for women, men, girls 12 and under and boys 12 and under. Big Lake’s mobile rock wall will be out, so come prepared to do some climbing following the tournament!
Why: All proceeds go to Big Lake Youth Camp! Plus, we’d just love to see all your lovely faces and have some fun together.
When: Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm
Where: Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, 19800 Oatfield Rd., Gladstone, OR 97027. Please meet at the Holden Convention Center.
Who: Everyone is invited, including kids of all ages! This is a family event.
Cost: $15/person OR $20/person with your choice of a new BLYC disc! Payment will be collected at the tournament.
Reserve Your Spot: Space is limited so please register to reserve your spot! We have spots for teams of 4-5 people. If you do not have a team, we can place you on a team with other single players.
